EMR Mitrakas is a boutique law firm based in Albert Park, Melbourne. Founded by Eugenia Mitrakas OAM, the practice formerly operated as Eugenia Mitrakas & Co before evolving into a partnership with Peter Roylance.
We provide legal services to individuals, families and businesses across Melbourne, offering practical advice and personalised assistance across a broad range of legal matters.
Our areas of practice include property law, wills and estate planning, probate and deceased estates, powers of attorney, litigation, family law, Greek law, notarial services and commercial advice.
Experience and Professional Recognition
Eugenia Mitrakas OAM has practised law for more than 40 years and is recognised for her significant contributions to the legal profession and the Greek-Australian community.
Her distinguished career includes serving on the Council of the Law Institute of Victoria and as President of the Society of Notaries of Victoria. She has received numerous professional and community honours, reflecting her longstanding commitment to the legal profession and public service.
In 2025, Eugenia received the Women of Influence Award at the Hellenic Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (HACCI) Excellence Awards. Her achievements have also received international recognition, including honours presented in Greece for her contribution to the global Greek community. She has additionally been recognised as a Golden Alumna of the University of Melbourne.
In 2026, Eugenia received Honorary Life Membership from the Law Institute of Victoria in recognition of eminent achievement and significant, long-term contribution to the Law Institute, the legal profession and the community.
Peter Roylance joined the practice in 2013 and was appointed partner in 2023. His practice includes wills and estate planning, probate and estate administration, property transactions, commercial leases and notarial services.
In 2026 EMR Mitrakas received a Business Commendation from at the Victorian Small Business Awards.
